Trump/Chris Christie Interviews

A report that former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has been granted immunity by Special Counsel Jack Smith has Trump haters believing that the walls are finally closing in on the 2024 GOP frontrunner.

One political adversary of former President Donald J. Trump, fellow Republican candidate Chris Christie, predicted that this time it could be curtains for the resilient target of the Biden regime’s Justice Department, especially if Meadows sings in the upcoming trial held in front of an Obama appointed judge in a D.C. courtroom with a jury pulled from an area that overwhelmingly hates his guts.

The former New Jersey governor appeared on Fox News on Wednesday where he discussed the latest developments in the great Trump hunt, in particular the ABC News report about Meadows.

“Look, the walls are closing in around him. I understand that and more importantly, he understands that,” the blustering ex-prosecutor told Cavuto. “I was there, Neil, in 2020 when Mark Meadows was chief of staff regularly preparing Donald Trump for the debates against Joe Biden and I can tell you that Mark Meadows was velcroed to Donald Trump’s hip, in the White House at those times.”

“That means that Mark Meadows knows everything,” Christie continued. “Everything that Donald Trump said and did and ordered other people to do on his behalf and just as importantly everything that he was told about the lack of facts to back up his contention that the election was stolen, yet he continued to act as he did then and as he does now.”

“So the tweet or the post that he put out regarding Mark Meadows was clearly an attempt to influence and intimidate Mark Meadows who we now have every reason to believe is a witness for the government against Donald Trump. His conduct is showing you, Neil, the walls are closing in on him,” Christie added, referring to a Truth Social post by Trump about Meadows suggesting that he’s a weakling and coward who could squeal to save his own hide from the underhanded Smith.

Christie also used the phrase that has been flogged to death by Trump’s enemies for years in a post to X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday along with a clip of his appearance on CNN with Wolf Blitzer who he told that Trump is “desperately worried,” after the ABC News report that Meadows has flipped.

“The walls are closing in on @realDonaldTrump. It’s time for us to move on from this guy,” the former governor said. “While I’ll be taking on Joe Biden and the Democrats directly, Trump will be campaigning from courtrooms.”

“If the person you call the next James Baker is now testifying that you were lying to the American people about the election results from election night forward, which is reportedly what Mark Meadows is testifying, and that you knew all along that what you were saying was not backed up by the facts, Donald Trump is in very, very big trouble,” Christie said.
